The cost of speaking out. Overview of human rights abuses committed by Belarusian authorities during peaceful protests in February-March 2017

From March 23 to 27, 2017, the team of documentors was conducting a monitoring of peaceful demonstrations in Belarus, which resulted in the arrest of at least 941 protesters. About 32 individuals were charged with criminal offenses.

A joint report prepared by the Truth Hounds and the International Partnership for Human Rights report in the framework of cooperation with the Civic Solidarity Platform contains a series of recommendations to the Belarusian authorities that take into account the condition of people in detention and those who are being repressed.
